Assistant Professorship at University of Guam

After teaching acting and directing for two semesters as an adjunct, I was thrilled to be offered a full time position as an Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Guam for the ‘22-’23 academic year. UOG students are uniquely driven, passionate people and it was an honor to be a part of their educational journey. Throughout the year I taught Acting I, Introduction to Theatre, and Voice and Speech to students with varying exposure to theatre— for some, this is a chance to explore an art they find interesting while pursuing a degree for a different passion, and for others they are in the beginning stages of building their careers as theatre practitioners. Each and every one of them has been a gift.

In addition to teaching, I also helped produce our season and managed UOG Theatre publicity. I designed costumes for I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and the CHamoru Play Festival (dir. by Dr. Troy McVey, CHPF asst. dir. by Ean Taijeron), directed and performed An Iliad, and directed Kate Hamill’s Pride and Prejudice.
